Description
One of the great truths of God is the Trinity: three divine persons with one divine essence. Yet the Bible’s focus is not on the Triune God but on Jesus. We are never told to worship the Trinity abstractly, we are told to worship Jesus. Our sins will not be forgiven by faith in God in general, but by faith in Jesus.
Theologians, especially from the Reformed tradition, are inclined to emphasize God’s glory as the chief end of man. But, as Tom Wells shows powerfully and lucidly, the Bible emphasizes Jesus as the chief end of man.
